The Virginia Horseshoers Association had a clinic scheduled for this past Saturday. Due to weather concerns, the clinicians cancelled. Being the great group that the VHA is, we were still able to have an awesome clinic thanks to a local vet, Dr Ann Russau (I hope I spelled that correctly), who brought in her digital x-ray machine, developer, laptop and projector. Several members had some horse legs (a couple from a case study that Dr Russau had followed) and others brought in by some of the members. Being able to x-ray the legs, look at them in minutes and then disect them was farrier education at its finest.
Thanks to Butch and Connie for hosting the clinic, Dr Russau for bringing all of her equipment, and all of the members who showed up and participated in a very educational day.
