This evening at the Forge and Anvil Restaurant(yes folks, that is really the name of the place) Jaye Perry and Phil Armitage were seen by at least ten other people, hugging and air kissing each other.

What ever is the world coming to? LOL

I'll admit this maybe true, although I didn't see it. I've been talking to nj state police all night. I'm very embarrassed. Kevin Davis did something that we are completely against. Squirrels have rights too. I hope the clinic can go on in a lawfull manner. I realize we're all out to have fun, But Kevin Davis took it beyond extreme.

KEVIN- IF YOU CAN HEAR ME. GET WELL SOON!

I really enjoyed the clinic and the opportunity to meet some really great farriers from the mid atlantic and beyond.

We have a shortage of young people in northern new england interested in this profession and it was incredibly refreshing to meet large numbers of early 20's 3rd and 4th generation farriers with skills at the forge that were at or near to AFA team standards.

I'm sorry that we had to leave at 1:00 and missed the shoeing of the last horse but Its a long way to maine and I actually did not get home till 11pm last night.

I have some video and pictures. Problem, I am behind the camera. Do not know if anyone took pictures of me.

Will post them as soon as I can after I get them on my computer.

Hey Smitty I had a couple of young lads teaching me (ole bugger) how to make shoes. Kind of backwards to what you guys do in Ireland. :)

As you were told at the clinic! Get with someone that knows how to make shoes. Your making too many mistakes. Start with the toe bend. Get a group of guys together and it doesn't cost that much to get a clinician in.

Sorry Smitty, before pics were taken. We got so caught up in george and ricks trimming and phils shoe fitting that we forgot to take during and after pics.

good news smitty- Dick Becker is coming in Dec. For four days. I'll make sure the camera is set up.

Phil will admit he doesn't want to compete with me or any of my boys. BUT. at the same time, as much as i get into Phils face, he know I'll hellp him. And if I can't Ill call in someone that can.

Here's the Challenge, If Phil actually steps up to the plate and travels down to nj. I will match him up with Jeff. And once phill hangs in NJ a little, he know the meaning of anywhere, anyplace, anytime. Phill, its back on you.

Sorry those days are gone forever. Not enough money in entertainment. :D

I did get a good laugh from your post. Maybe you can take over.

Baron may have to start paying me to keep this forum active. I see things slowing down lately.

Hey Jeff for the record the only reason I challenged you in the first place is because you have a big mouth and lack class and your comments were slanderous. Why others condone your unprofessionalism is beyond me. Personaly I have no tolerance for individuals like yourself. Even though Baron has threatened people to be nice. The old comments are still there for horse owners to read and develop an opinion. To be honest I still have a bad taste in my mouth about your comments and that Baron allowed it. So I figured I will deal with you man to man letting my work speak for itself. This would give you a chance to actually see my work and then be honest. I did not figure it would lead to handmades in a two hour time limit. I am glad it did though and it has become my goal to combine good trimming and shoeing useing handmades. I decided to not come to Texas because it is rediculous for me to even attempt it at this point in time, I lack the skills to make qaulity handmades in a timely manner. Maybe there will be a rematch maybe not, but it will be on my terms.

Eric is a class act, he has been honest and helpfull.

I have not backed out or will back down from anything, when it comes to handmades I need to learn more, practice more and need more time. You and Tom figured you could call the shots and make the rules, well I hate to dissapoint the two of you but this is not how it works with me.

I will let you know when I am ready if you want to play.

Ah Phil, don't take things so personally. Everyone on here is just having fun. At least I hope they are. I know I am.

In all honesty, Phil going to Texas would have been a waiste of time. He just started making handmades. imo, the info Jeff, Tom, and everyone has to offer would have gone right over his head at this given time. But, with a little one on one time with someone to show Phil the basics of handmade shoes, I think he'll come around quite quickly.

So get practiceing Phil! Then you can set the match up next year when your ready to appreciate the skill Jeff has to offer.

Most of the farriers on here are a class act and it is clear when they are just haveing fun. I have seen excellent constructive critiscm educational and helpfull without attacking others.

Phil,

How about posting those photos you took at the clinic?

And now Mes Amis, it is now time to put an end to the other discussion.

Will do, most of it is video. Still figureing out my new computer and camcorder. I am also working an outline of all the good stuff I picked up at this clinic.

It was forgotten until Jeff interjected on this thread with the backing out comment for some reason he had to remind me. Maybe he still wants a match, maybe he has something to prove. Who knows.

You know the ole saying the bigger they are the harder they fall, that also goes for big egos.
