I use all the time on aluminum, steel as well as plastics. If you aren't familiar with its use then contact Equithane and they will send you a complimentary video.

i have used both the adhere and the equilox product. i prefer and have more success with the equilox in the 2 oz kits they stay on til i take them off i have not had the same results with the vettec product and used it per manufacturers instuctions. i know some guys who love adhere but there glue ons dont consistently last as long as mine with equilox. I use the Adhere, but prefer , in most instances, the Superfast. I have good success with both. It is extremely important to make sure the hoof is clean and dry, dry, dry, that the shoe is clean(I only handle it with latex gloves on), that you have added spacers to the shoe and that you have drilled some oversized holes in the branches of the shoe that the adhesive can run down into to further grab and hold the shoe. Generally, when I drill the holes, I countersink them on the ground surface side of the shoe. I also pull up side/toequarter clips. I like to fit the shoe a bit full so that after the glue has set, I can go back and run a bead around on the outside of the hoof wall/shoe junction to get just a bit more hold. I usually only do this from quarter to quarter, especially if I am not gluing the heels of the shoe to the heels of the hoof.

Rick, please tell me won't you agree Equilox is so much easier to use when glueing? What makes you want to use Adhere? Is there something I missed?

Hey Ron

I'm not sure "easier" is exactly how I would put it. I do use both/either/all three(huh? how can I use 'both' and 'all three' in the same sentence? beats me, but there it is. :D ) and sometimes I prefer one over another. I don't use the Adhere nearly as much as I use the Superfast, and in the heat, man-oh-man I do have to be superfast. If that is going to be an issue(the set time) because of the problem I am dealing with, then I will indeed go to the Equilox/Grand Circuit product.

I also like using the MMAs whenever my back hurts, my knees hurt, my elbows hurt, my hands hurt, my hips hurt or my mind hurts. Just inhaling the fumes for a few minutes, let alone for an extended period of time, makes all my pains go away :D .
