Hi all, has anyone tried the new mfc horseshoes? They claim there like you would hand turn them yourself. Well I called and got a sample pair, a pair of 0 front and a pair or 0 hinds. Ill nail them on tomorrow but heres what I see. The toe is pointed on front and hind shoes, dont know if I like this, but the nail holes I think im going to like. Theres 5 to a branch, and they start corse at the toe and you can see them taper to fine at the heel nail. Only problem I see is no nail pitch, and punched for a city head. I usually use kerckhaert shoes, I put a 0 mfc against a 0 kerckhaert and boy was there a size difference, so I think it may be good as a half size. Looking foward to trying them and will let you know, and boy the price is right!!

I went to a shop night at Centaur Forge, the Texas location, and we forged on some of the shoes. I have not nailed any of them on. I did notice the large size difference between them and the Kerckhaert's(sp). I ended up with several pair and they will make their way onto a horse or get forged to death in my practice sessions.
