Alligator Shoes

I read the Chris Beaver article in the Canadian Sportsman and he swears these shoes help with horse not interfering. I was just wondering if anyone else has had success with these and a description of what they are like.

Some time back there was an entertaining thread on using Muscrat(sic) studs as traction devices. Along with that was a discussion on using the lids from ice cream containers for pad materials(Haagen Das for Warmbloods, Tuti-Fruti for the brain dead, Neopolitian for Vanners, etc). I wonder if these alligator shoes are of the same genre'?

Perhaps our illustrious leader, the Red Baron could link us to those old threads for entertainment and inspiration. How about it, Your Highness? From the Exaulted Throne in the Command Room, surely you can work your wizzardry and return us to those 'thrilling days of yesteryear'. :D
