My horses live and work in rocks. The NB pads are collecting them almost daily. Yesterday one mare off until I pried rock stuck in the space in the frog pad. Any suggestions for something that will stick in there to fill the space, and firm enough to keep rocks out? Maybe JB weld or epoxy caulking? Those are the choices I have here.

Hi Katy, the NB pads are made of urathane, so I doubt that JB weld will stick to them but you can try.
If you get to the hardware store there should be some kind of plastic based sealer that will stick. Maybe plain old window /door calk, or if you can find it. An auto parts store will have windshield sealer or something like that too. There is a product called "shoe goo" that's is used to repair tennis shoes, and it should stick in that pad space really well. Fill the hole then duct tape over it until it sets.

Patty, I just remembered I have this small foal size kit of Super Fast I got at a booth somewhere. That should work, right?

It will work but it sets up hard. (like your rocks) Maybe better to use something that sets rubbery, like equipack or the tennis shoe repair goo or something like that. Patty
PS your the first person I have heard that has to a rock sticking problem in the middle of those pads, as usually they fill up with dirt and the rocks don't get in. Try just standing her in a mud hole for a few minutes.... :D )

Mud? What's that? Oh, you mean that stuff that happens when water falls from the sky? Hard to make good mud from gravelly sand. I'm doing a trial way down south where it's more clay, so I'll bring some home and make custom mud.
Thanks.
