Just got back from a clinic that High Country Horseshoes puts on each year and wanted to say it was excellent.
Friday afternoon they had Larkin Green demonstrating Equithane products.
Saturday Austin Edens made shoes, discussed techniques and in the afternoon he shod a horse. I was pleasantly suprised at the number of little gems I took from his presentation.
Sunday we went out to Bob Marshalls and watched some of the members of the Canadian farrier team work on heel caulks and play at a few other techniques as the requests arose. Once the weather broke a bit, many people set up got some hands on training, from both current and former members of the team, as well as Austin. I'll be working on drawing clips like crazy for the next little while!
To think that High Country doesn't charge for these annual clinics!
