I have seen in several supplier cataloges that the prices have dropped. Drastically on NBS alum. shoes.
I went to NBhoofcare.com and noticed that there prices are the same. Is this due to not updating the site, or am I missing something here??
Curious,
Don

Well that was almost 3 month's ago. Let me try to recollect what was said.
From the discussion was easily put. If they were to compete with other suppliers what would the point be.
So if you can get your supplies cheaper great. If you can't get them then edss will help you and get you what you need.
Cody can you help me out here? I don't want to put words in your mouth.

Ill try since Cody explained this to me as well. The farrier suppliers are free to charge whatever they want for the NB shoes. If they want to make less profit per pair pf shoes , that is their business. When I was in California ,I bought the aluminum NB shoes from my local supplier for a lot less than directly from EDSS. Especially considering shipping.
EDSS does not want to compete with or undercut the very same distributors they sell NB shoes to, because it wouldn't be fair to the other distributors. This is common in the wholesale/retail business. Basically the rule is that if You sell a product wholesale to other retail suppiers, and are also retailing the same product to the public, it is really uncool to undercut the other retailers.
EDSS is fine with anyone buying the shoes wherever they want at the best price they can get.
They are just as happy if you buy them from a retailer or directly.
So long as the horses are happy... :D Patty
