The heels of my horses hind feet are much different than the front... It seems like there is very little heel, and that the point where it touches the ground is very far forward.. Until I learn how to upload pictures, I'll just post links...

Does my horse have a heel problem? And if so, how is this fixed?

Also, ANY comments on her hoof health, whether good or bad, will be appreciated

Here's the feet:

Left Side both hind feet:

Right side both hind feet:

I do realize I'm VERY bad with a camera and these pictures are possibly tricky angles.. Also, if anyone needs another view, or a better attempt of the ones above, let em know and i'll get it asap, thanks!

Edit: Another question I just though of... My horses legs get stocked up very easily when she is kept inside.. She's almost always outside, but was in before taking those pictures because of a storm.. She's stocked up slightly in the pictures.. Always just used her not being used to being inside for long periods of time as the explanation, but could it possibly be a hoof problem?

Do you have any pictures of the front feet? Might help to see the differances that are supposed to be there. Fronts are shaped differant than hinds so don't get upset. Most horses stock up that have worked hard at one time and they will stock up when stall kept. Again not that big of a deal, turnout and exercise will absorb the fluid. I don't really see much wrong with the feet on your horse considering he is barefoot, the ground does a good job of adjusting feet like these. Hope to put you at ease, the heels look alot better than some I see so lucky you! Hope you had a nice Christmas and wish you a Happy New Year! Gary
