Doesn't nesssarly need to be a high end case. Generally this happens if the foot is not supported and or the original
issue is not found or corrected (ie cushings ,hypo thyroid ect...) I recently had a case where the original diagnosis was slight rotation the attending farrier removed all sole and placed a heartbar incorrectly on to the foot after about two months she penatrated

Hi Julie,

Your right it is interesting, looking a little closer you can tell the lipping of P3 and P3 crushing through the sole.

And Frank, if this is not a high end case, I don't know what is. Maybe you should have another look too.

I was thinking that you ment that it was a high end horse not a high end case (a hick boy from Minnesota mistake)
I have never heard of a pentratration refered to in that manner before I guess we truely are a bunch of farmers out here
