I have a 10 yr old Quarter horse gelding, who suffers from Toed in, Pushed up inside heel. I've been made to believe he is Pigeon Toed, a slight club foot and his weight distribution is off. I have tried Corrective trimming for year and a half. He is gettting no better, gimpy for 2+ weeks after a trim. Can walk, trot and won't canter. I believe he is in pain and uncomfortable. He is currently barefoot and I think about shoes every day. He's been lame since we took the shoes off over a year ago.
HELP!!! any advice would be so helpful. He's young, healthy and I know wants to be active with his buddies.
Many thanks

Morning, Amy ... do you have photos you could post? Please be sure they are clear and the shots are taken with the camera lens at right angles to the hoof. ... fronts, sides, bottom views. Also, a couple of the horse standing - from the front and from each side?
Thanks. Hard to comment w/o photos.

In addition to Gwen's photo suggestions, I have a few more questions.
Who convinced you to leave the horse barefoot? Why?
Is the same farrier who shod the horse still trimming the horse? If not, why not?
Was the horse unsound when he was shod and did he present the same issues(pigeon toed, club foot, etc)?
What is the trimming protocol that has been in use since the shoes were removed?
How much turnout does he get and what is the terrain where he is turned out?
The answers to these questions and some photos will help us better assist you in attempting to restore your horse to soundness.
