My horse has a clubfoot on the front and is currently shoeless to allow some regrowth due to multiple shoe losses. After listening to lots of advice, I have decided to place a shoe back on the clubfoot in another 4-6 weeks. I have been offered the option of placing only one shoe and leaving the other 3 trimmed.
My question is if I place an aluminum shoe with a rim pad on the club foot alone and leave the others trimmed, is that acceptable or common???
Will it harm the clubfoot in any way to try this???

I would not do that. Post some pictures of both front feet so we can see how there being trimmed. I find the most common reason for club footed horses pulling shoes, is the feet are not trimmed properly.

As Phil said pictures would be great. My question is, why only shoe the one foot?

I got pictures but my home computer is having issues so it may be a week until I can post them, sorry for the inconvenience.
To answer why only one shoe, I am having trouble keeping shoes on him and thought less shoes, less lost ones. From all I have been advised a clubfoot is better shod, so barefoot on all 4 is probably not the best option.
