Does anyone know the status of the Southern New England Farrier Association? I have heard lots of rumors- they have disbanded, restarted, given up their charter. Any updates?

SNEFA is alive and kickin, planning lots of new and interesting ways to interact with the members. By the way the address for Sean McClure in the last Eagle was a typo. Please send dues to SNEFA c/o John Blombach, P.O. Box 740, Westminster, MA 01473 and I will make sure it gets to the treasurer.
Pat, have you not paid your dues and are not getting the Newsletter?

Roy,
Could you expound on your last post and explain exactly what lawyers need to be paid and for what. Since it appears to me that you inferred it ,I ask you for an explanation.

John,
I like the idea of SNEFA, but have never really been a member because the distance makes it difficult to attend meetings regularly. People ask, I hear things, I just wondered what is going on.
Would anyone care to sum up the recent events? Without giving the lawyers fodder?

Just recieved word that SNEFA friend and team mate Vern Hornquist passed away yesterday. He was always a good friend who always was willing to lend a hand - he will be missed by all.

Hi roy,
I'm still waiting for an answer to the question that I posted to this post! I really believe that a person should be willing to provide credible info when they allude to anything, to me anyway even more important than providing a name instead of a handle.
Simply put: yousaid that the lawyers need to be paid in reference to a dues payment, I would like to know what lawyers or legal action are you refering?

Ray,
No, there is no pending legal action to my knowledge. I was just having some fun with The Phantom about the SNEFA legal team that accompanied him to Omaha.
I'm surprised you didn't know all about it since you're a SNEFA member. ;)
Didn't you go out there anyhow?

Due to cir***stances beyond SNEFA's control, we have been forced to postpone this year's fall clinic at Equine Affaire, however we have put together a series of mini-clinics at our regular monthly meeting, the first one being Nov 2nd at 7:30 PM at the Littleton VFW in Littleton Massachusetts.
This first mini - clinic will feature Mr Patrick Reilly, Resident Farrier at two New Hampshire Veterinary Hospitals. He will speak on the following topic: "Under-run heels/ force plate studies - correct use of pads and packing material; getting the most out of frog support pads". Pat is a much sought after clinician and demonstrator as well as a key-note speaker at the 2006 International Hoofcare Summit - we are honored to have him as speaker and SNEFA member.
The second mini-clinic will be held at the December 7th Meeting also at the Littleton VFW Hall. Mr Brett Butler, a farrier and quarter crack repair specialist from Derry New Hampshire will be the key-note speaker and demonstrator. Topic: "Quarter crack repair; get it right first time, every time". Nothing stops a top notch show horse faster than a nasty quarter crack. Brett has travelled the world working on some of the finest show and race horses when perfection and optimum performance were the order of the day. Come and learn Bretts secrets.
Light, hot and cold buffet will be served free of charge with coffee or tea. Soda and mixed drinks will be available. Please bring your appetite!
Hope to see you there. Bring a friend - raffle - door prizes!
7:30 - 8:00pm Happy Hour and Social
8:00 - 8:25pm brief business meeting (nominations) (winter symposium)
8:25 - 8:30pm break
8:30 - 9:30pm featured speaker Patrick Reilly

Hi Roy,
Yes,I went out to the AFA meeting in Omaha, I'm not an afa member, but felt it was important to attend since I'm a farrier and thought I should be available to protect my profession . My SNEFA "membership" comes about because I'm a supplier/manufacturer,as I have been told,I think as a supporting/associate member. A SNEFA officer would have to explain.
Could I ask a favor, when you decide to "have some fun" could you clarify those times? Seemed like inuendo to me.
