Hi, I have a 15 year old gelding with a fetlock problem. It affects his 'stumpy' foot, his rf. The back of his fetlock, where the proximal sesmoids lay, and the ddft passes, has a lump that is hard as a rock. He's very sore there, if I press he tells me about it. I've been putting capsaicin on it to help numb the pain so he can move around some. He's been barefoot for three years. He was foundered when I got him, and it took a year and a half for him to be serviceably sound. Please don't mention shoes to me, I've been that route, he had shoes with pads and his feet just got worse until he pulled them in the creek, nearly sound the next day. Anyway, this fetlock thing is relatively new and sudden. I have pictures if you are interested in trying to help.
Thank you in advance,
Lorrie
