Ken, I am not seeing more, but I have had two relapse that I thought I had on the run. I am losing hope on one and would like to call in the cavalry but I don't know who that is. I really hate that stuff. I am having a banner year on abcess and sole bruise cases. I have used alot of durasole and magic cushion for the first time ever. Is there a silver bullet for the WLD in your opinion.

I haven't really had any problems with whiteline disease in any of my regular client's horses that much but have had several vet referrals this year wanting me to clean up some WLD. I think environment is the biggest player in this game. I don't really do anything special, just give it air. I usually resect the entire affected area and then apply a shoe. Depending on the amount of resection, a barshoe or a shoe with clips may be necessary to stabilize the capsule. I think the biggest reason people have relapses is that they don't quite get it all out. Remember that the actual bacteria is not the black gunk, but rather the whitish chalky stuff above the dirt and debris. The other big thing that causes the relapse is lack of owner maintaining it between your visits. The owner needs to wire brush the area EVERY day and they can apply White Lightning or a similar product if you want, but if they will keep that area completely clean the air will do the bulk of the work clearing it up. It would also be a big help if they don't turn ole Dobbins out into the "pond pasture". Hope this helps.

Nope. I have my own installation CDs for Windows XP Professional, Windows XP Home, and Windows 2000 professional. You can buy them on eBay and "upgrade" your system from Vista.

I haven't had a problem with WLD since Windows ME.
