I have a draft horse that i use for carriage rides, he had a blow-out on one shoe (ripped the nails out) and i tried the rubber boots and it made a sore on the front of his cornet band. (and i am out $160 too. )
Those rubber boots are definately for temporary use or else i used them wrong.

At any rate, I cant nail on another shoe for at least another 3 weeks to let the hoof wall grow back out, do you have anything that will withstand the rigors of concrete and asphalt? The shoes we normally use have drill-teck(borium) welded on the tip and heel to give them traction, will your super-fast get eaten away quickly by road surface and will it give equal traction to a borium tipped shoe and if not, what do you reccomend?

I just spoke with the folks at Vettec and they said to use the ADHERE for my situation, and to re-use the old shoe with the borium already on it.

thanks for all the help guys! I just ordered my first setup of Adhere and hope it works well!

Howed it go?

I ussually prep the foot and nail the shoe on useing all thenail holes i would normally. Where the nails do not catch foot, I drive them up and bend them over along the inside line of the foot (as if the hoof was there the nailes would be bend under the surface). Then I ussually use quick poly becuase its more fluid. But theres no reason adhere couldnt do the job.
