my driving hammer is of unknown age or make. it had a cliff carrol style handle that felt really good in the hand but a horse stepped on it and cracked on the backside,i tapped it up and kept using it for the next year and a half till i found a peice of swamp ash with tight straight grain in my shop and made a handle. i cracked this one the other day but it has nice spiring now lol

i was cleaning my box out, hence the missing tools from my box.

It looks a lot like the old Thoro'bred driving hammers (c1985?), maybe it's a prototype or a knockoff. Bellota had something similar about the same time.

How can you tell?

All I can see is the end of the handle

i couldnt get photos to upload using the uploader here so i used a dirrect link to my photo server, sorry for the size.

its a verry well balanced hammer. ive got a blurton 10oz that i traded a buddy of mine a pair of GE nippers for that i rarely use because it hurts my elbow....go figure a free hammer feels better than a $100+ hammer lol
