I found an article released in 1994 about use of RVI (rebeola virus immunomodulator) use in horses to help alleviate pain from navicular and muscle sorness.
Anyonehave experience with it? Seen a horse treated with it?
My mare has "heel pain" in the right front. She is a warmblood that I was doing low-level dressage with. She is in bars with a cured material as a pad (sorry don't know the name of it). She is lame at the trot w/o bute. I'm going to try starting her on isox this week.
It seemed from the study they had good results with RVI-- but if it did so much, why isn't it a common-place treatment?
Thanks!
