Hi.... Just wondering if there is a site that may have images of hooves and their issues as I have no idea what I am looking for. I notice funny cracked flaps on my horses heels... I am the same person as above with the gelding with navicular and would like to provide Rick with some proper constitutional information but as a first time horse owner I am on my own trying to do things. My vet is fab apparently and my farrier the best... but here in England they leave us out of the process. (I'm the Canadian living here from the question above) Fine, except that my horse came back from hospital without his shoes and I was told that my farrier will put regular shoes on him this time around and see how he goes with just the bute. Should I be worried? I am worried... if I can get the right info onto this forum then I can help my horse properly by at least having the right questions to ask my farrier. ...or something like that.
