Just wanted to say thanks for your advice and well wishes, as luck would have it I have been doing pretty much exactly as you suggested. Cleaning the hoof and using an antiseptic spray daily but yesterday I noticed dirt has started to get inside the hole. I flushed it out with some peroxide but my question............is there a risk of reinfection and is there anything I can use to encourage fast healing? Thanking you in anticipation :-)
