I have been fighting this problem for over 2 years. Living on the north Oregon coast, it's ALWAYS wet outside, summer and winter. We're talking mud puddles from October through July. I can't keep the horses feet dry unless I keep them indoors 24/7. I don't have an arena so can't do that. I use White Lightning mixed with vinegar and the mare wears Old Macs to prevent the sand from packing in the cracks and making them worse but I'm fighting a losing battle. Any ideas?
