Now that my horse is on the mend:
What do I do about the hole that was carved in bottom of his hoove? Is there a good/preferred way to put a lid on the hole with roofing tar, pine pitch, play dough or something? The hole is half the size of a dime and about as deep as the first knuckle on the pinky finger.
