If the angle of the pastern on the 'long toed' low heeled left foot is lower than the foot angle, or the fetlock on that side drops lower than the other fetlock , there may be some suspensory ligament issues. I suggest you get an evaluation from a real good equine vet, and ask specifically about the possibility of DSLD. In jy experience most "coon footed" horses have some level of suspensory apparatus disfunction. Patty
