we are looking at a horse to purchase and her rear hoof go almost straight down. at a trot, when she moves, she walks/trots on her rear toes. what is this and what are the long term implications? can it be corrected with special shoes? the horse displays no signs of discomfort/lameness. current owners either have not noticed condition (she has been out to pasture for months) or aren't telling. help!
