Had the radiographs done. Five to 6 degree rotation in the coffin bone. Chipped off the tip of it as well, a piece is free floating just in front of the coffin bone. Some bone re-absorption has begun on the side. Coffin bone is not balanced on both sides. A sharp spur comes off the side.
Vet said push the toes back and rolled shoes. No need for heart bars since he has a lot of good frog. A pad might be good too.
Is there hope? Do horses recover from this? Vet believes this condition was probably there when I bought him. So, it is at least three years old.
