: : Seems like you guys know a lot so here we go. I just kle really bad. I don't ride him very long, but his ankle is always bleeding by the time I quit. I was wondering if his hoof being in such bad shape is makeing him favor that leg. A farrier is suppose to be coming Wednesday to look at him. This horse is a real big show off and really trys to strut his stuff. But he is as sweet as a kitten. I have noticed that he starts bobbing his head up and down after I ride him for a while like his foot is hurting him. I do get off then. This is not an all the time thing though, so you see why I am so confused. Thanks for all your help, it is really appreciated. Linda

: Linda,

: There could be a number of things that is causing this. I would suggest a full vet check, by a equine laneness vet. Then have your farrier talk direct with the vet.

: Just my thinking.

: Ray, thanks for the info. I have the farrier coming Wed. and the Vet is coming Saturday. I checked his hoof and foot today. There is a big chip. We pushed on the place where the chip is and he DID NOT like that at all. So I would say that it is very tender.I will let you know the outcome of it all. Thanks again, Linda
