: My 6 yr old keeps losing front shoes. He's not broken to ride yet, but I lunge him. He's base narrow and seems to be pulling one front shoe off with the opposite front foot, generally while in his stall.
: He's lost 4 shoes in a month, has small feet anyway, and I am at my wit's end! My farrier recommended a biotin supplement and bell boots (tried 2 different kinds - didn't work).
: What next??
Mata, I believe the answer needs a question first. If your horse is 6 yrs old, not broken to ride, and kept in a stall, has small feet, why do you have shoes on this horse? Before your original question can be properly and politely answered, this information and the rationale behind it would help the respondents. Hopefully, we can help you. Jack Hammonds
