: : hi! I'm from argentina and I would like to know if you can explain me what is the breakover because I'm translating an article about laminitis and I can't find its meaning.
: : I wish you can give a response. thank you very much.

: Just in case you have anyother things you will nees to lookup, or need explainations on. There is a very good Dictionary on this site. Just go to that and it should help you a bunch. Breakover is in there I know. Just go to the Dictionary on this site.

After you finish translating , it might be a good idea
to speak it out loud (as a proof read) to a Vet and farrier
to make sure ideas get conveyed correctly.
A simple explanation of break over needs to address how the
horses foot lands, loads, then pushes off.
Point of Break over, is the moment the horses weight rolls over a specific area of sole, which ideally is just ahead of the tip of the coffin bone, just before the horse pushes off (sometimes call toe-off).
Lots of things (like long toes, poor shoeing and trimming)
affect where break over occurs.
