: We have a 7 year old tb in very good shape. He is ridden basically dressage 6 days a week, and has always travelled fairly close in the back. He tends to interfere from the hocks down. Our farrier has put hind shoes on him (no trailer), and says it is probably weak stifles, and he should be ridden on firm ground to try to strengthen them. His opinion is that trailers will cause pain, and cause him to try to pull his legs in, making the brushing worse. Our vet does not think there is a stifle problem, and thinks that a small trailer might help. Your thoughts?

With out seeing the horse move. they both could be correct to some degree.

Just my thinking.
