Hi,
We have a 3 year old gelding who has just started having interfernce problems. He was gelded about 12 weeks ago, and then about 5 weeks ago had his first pair of shoes put on, then sent to a trainer for trail riding experience. Before being shod he was rode lightly and we had never noticed him hitting himself or any other problems, but today when we picked him up he was almost touching him self at a walk. And he has several sores on the inside of his pasterns on the hind legs. I can't belive he has always been this way. Could it be the shoes, or perhaps a combination of new shoes and being ridden much more often? Can it be corrected? Will call the farrier tomorrow, but want all the info I can get. Would appreciate any and all info. Thanks.
