Hi Mary,
I am a recent "new" graduate of farrier school and I can pass on to you what I have been told and/or learned thus far. One thing to look at is your horse's chest, a wide chest may cause a horse to toe-in. The other issue would be the trim. Does the horse wear shoes? The trim is still important whether she's shod or barefoot. I trim to live sole in both cases. Of course with a barefoot horse you "scoop" the quarters, which you do not do on a shod horse. In the case of your horse, there are so many possiblities here, conformation and boney column alignment, chest size, jammed up hoof wall possiblities, and trim methods. I know I haven't really given you a concrete answer, but, without seeing your horse in person I"m not able to do that. Others on here may be able to. ONe positive thing on ones that toe-in is they are usually great athletes. We were told in school, that if we've crossed our "T's" and dotted our "i's" on pigeon toed horses, not to worry about trying to "fix" them.
