: : : I am in a farrier science class at Southwest Missouri State University. I posted a message on Oct. 29. None of these questions have been answered. Being a business owner and a pre-vet student I understand the limits of time but I cannot finish my final in this class without your help. Please read the message titled "Questions from my farrier science class" and take a few moments to help me in any way you can. Thank you!
: : Tom Bloomer answered your questions 2 days after you posted them......I thought he did a thorough job
: : Derin
: I thought Tom did a good job also. I am curious are you the only student that is required to get answers from the site?
: Phil
Actually your answers are already here, all over this site, included as parts the hundreds of discussions on the various threads.
This site can be used just like a textbook, the answers to your questions are there, but nothanded to you in a "fill in the blank" form.
By using the 'keyword' tool, reading the anatomy section, articles and the sometimes heated discussions on various theories, especially pathology treatments such as laminitis, navicular, breakover and balance you will be able to formulate YOUR answers to those questions.
You will lean a lot more about hoof biomechanics in the process.
Also since you are stepping into an industry right at a time of change and controversy, by reading those dicussions you will have a handle on the very latest in possible changes in shoeing theories and science. One mans answer to a specific question may be dispuited by another.
Have fun, and start surfing!
