In the last set of xrays - his toe was pressing on his coffin bone - hence the shoes were removed and the aluminum shoes tried. An attempt was also made at this point to try and lower his heels and try some different types of shoes. He did not like any of them. We had the last set pulled last nite as there was bruising. At present he does like to have styrofoam on his feet and we are at a loss as to how to make him comfortable. We have his feet wrapped in diapers and "equine slippers" to protect his feet some.
I realize without seeing the actual xrays it may be difficult to offer advice but your suggestions are welcome. We had blood work pulled and that is fine (no cushings, thyroid, etc).
The xrays at present are not great as I described above. Is there any chance of making this horse more comfortable or is it time.
Thanks again.
