My (new) ferrier recently set my horse' right rear shoe at an angle to the shape of the hoof. In other words, if the foot was a clock and the toe is at 12 o'clock, the point of the shoe is set slightly to left of "12 o'clock. He said he did this because the heel on that foot was shorter.(???) Has anyone heard of this method of correction, or did I get a bad shoeing job? Thanks!
