I just had my horses's shoes taken off for the winter and she has been "ouchy" the first couple of days. I had them taken off by a different farrier last year and she was fine, I even rode her without shoes most of spring and she was fine. What causes this? I don't want to put her shoes back on - I hate borium in the winter. Is it possible that he trimmed her back too far and if so how long before she gets over it? she is only out on a dirt paddock and we only work in a dirt ring, no trail riding.
