I am looking to buy a 4 year old TB gelding that has thin walled hooves. The owner has been very open about this condition, however I am not familiar with this condition. I am planning to have a pre-purchase exam done prior to purchase. Will a vet be able to provide suffien insight to this condition or should I also have a farrier perform a pre-purchase exam. Should this condition deter me from purchase or is "knowledge power"?
