I have a 9 yr old QH & 11 yr QH/Arab. I live in N Idaho. Every year their feet get very dry, they crack, their soles/frogs get really dry. I feed them Biotein, I have them stand in wet area while feeding. I have been applying hoof dressing too. I do not know what else to do. I can't keep shoes on my QH has his feet keep breaking and cracking. Any suggestions would be great. They both are fed alfalfa that has good protein in it and are fed a coat conditioner with protein in it also.
