I have a 2yr old Stallion who was chased by someone in a pick-up out in his pasture when I was not arround. He got his hoof/ankle caught in something and it cut pretty deep. When he was found and the vet took a look at him, he was not able to stand because of lose of blood. 2 small tendons were severed. The vet was able to find them and stich them back together. he recommened stall rest for 6 weeks and keep the leg wrapped for support. We did this and then my farrier recommened wedge shoes to help with the angle so the tendons could heal. It has now been 6 months and he is still limping noticeably. What do you recommend? Should I be using corrective shoes and if so what kind? Also his Heel/sole seems to be collapsing any advise would be great.
