Unless the laceration is deep and/or becomes infected, it should heal with no problems. You will need to clean and medicate the area on a regular basis, just as you would for any wound. Bandaging the area becomes somewhat problematical and is not necessary unless there is a great deal of involvement, in which case, you should have your vet deal with the situation.
