Hi everyone!
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself, my name is Jen and I , live in Northern Ontario Canada, recently I purchased a paint filly from MB Canada , but during her travels her she sustained some injuries to her hind end legs!
We battled trying to figure out what could have caused these injuries and to no avail do we know, my vet did X-ray's nothing is broke , he told me to contact my ferrier and I have done so and found out that she has dislocated her P1 and P2 bones in her pastern, no I am curious if anyone else has had this happen and what course of action was taken, or if there are any ferriers out there that can give us some advice on how to re place it!
I could send her away for surgery but cannot afford the operation as it starts at 2500-4500 depending on severity! :(
She is such a sweety brave and strong I would hate to have to make any rash decsions about her at this point , so any little bit of help or advice would be GREAT !
If you can cross post or whatnot it would be greatly appreciated, ! Thanks in advance !
Here is the site with the photo's ( disregard the text ) as at that time we had no idea what form of injury it was Now we know it's a P! and P2 Dislocation ( or Pastern Dislocation )
