I am buying my first horse and at the pre-purchase vet check the vet said the right hind hoof had an old coronary band injury (advised by owner/trainer done before age 2)and the hoof is cracked from the bottom up. (This horse was turned out to pasture without shoes for several months.) What kind of hoof issues could I possibly face or that you see often with this kind of injury? Is it something I should be very concerned about?
