I got a TB gelding four months ago. He goes short behind, but with my farriers help thru his fourth shoeing, he is going better. He shortened toe and nailed on a larger shoe set back. When my farrier rasped the outside of his hoofs some pink spots became apparent on the outside of his hoofs, not the sole. These have now moved to the bottom 1.5 inch or so. We feel it must not be pigment since it is gone and his foot hasn't grown out that much in 4 months. Could thy be a sign of what is wrong with him? Any input would be much appreciated!
