One thing I think about is "Horses per mortgage payment".
Where I live we get $75-80 per horse. Two hundred miles south they get $120.
I need to shoe six and trim one to make my mortgage. Down south, for the same type house I have here, I'd have to shoe eightteen at $120. Add taxes, traffic, quality of life, its mo beta here at home.
