Having ranched, outfitted and shod horse in Colorado for 11 years. The prairie can be a bugger to cross in Nov. or it can be super nice.
I would say you could fly into Denver. Ft.
Collins is just a few miles north.
Then you might also want to stop by Rogers place at Brighton Colo. and vist his saddle store and shoers supply.
There are a number of excellent hotels in the area. The fort is a college town, some nice bars to vist the college freshman at.
You might also want to vist the Equine Science Dept. It is one of the best in the country.
