: Although I've not personally used any MFC products, I
: wouldn't base my actions on statements or opinions from
: people who've "heard" things. You need to hear from people
: who've actually used MFC products. For years I heard "real"
: farriers say that only GE tools were good. I tried them,
: and they are good. But then I tried Diamond, and truth be

: Now I use tools from a couple different companies, including
: GE, Diamond and Mustad. I think I'll be trying MFC soon.

Steve,
The reason I used the term "heard" is because when I was looking at one of their knifes at a farrier supply store, a person said to me that they had bought one and were disapointed with the quality and that it wouldn't hold an edge. When they said this to me, I heard it, therefore I used the term "heard".
In addition I know one of the people involved with the company, and could not recomend his character.
Your point about GE and Diamond tools is well taken. A good craftsman can do fine work with poor tools, and the best tools can't save some of us.
