I do the veterinary work for the US Park Police and there needs to be some serious changes in their shoeing.
My question is what sort of material would wear well enough on pavement with reasonable traction for these horses.
Currently they wear a steel shoe with borium calks at the toes and heels. They wear out a set of shoes approximately every six weeks.
All input would be appreciated with experience in this area of materials.
