Ok, school is back in here in Central Mo, all the equine girls are bringing there horses back from summers all over the U.S. Horses I shod during the school year and right before they left. Well did my first couple today and got a preview of whats instore next week. All these horses leave with a nice wide web St croix or kerkhart shoe, side clips, maybe shoe set off the toe for heel support and breakover, all in all good balanced foot. Now they come back with little narrow web St croix plains on, maybe spread a little other than that right out of the box. Fit up to or even past the toe, long toes, low heels, little clips drawn maybe a 1/4 in high. Seems like I can see the other farriers pulling the shoes I put on, throwing them in the truck and putting there perfect shoes on, making the coment of what did I shoe the horse that way for!. Anyway has anyone noticed with these narrow web shoes fit tight that it maybe crushing one heel or the other? I see no hoof wall left and super long toes with the shoe actually in front of the toe. I order my shoes and have them shiped in instead of going to the local hardware store and buying a shovel, garden hose and oh dont forget the .98 pair of shoes for Marys horse Monday! Oh well, schools back in!! Yaaa!
