: : : : : : Anyone know of any websites that have good pictures of problem or diseased feet that could be downloaded for a powerpoint presentation?
: : : : : : Darrell

: : : : : What types of problems are you looking for ? I have a couple of thousand of various issues.

: : : : Jaye,
: : : : looking for pictures of about anything. Foundered, sloughed hoof walls, rough shoeing jobs, short shod, etc.
: : : : Anything would help. Have some of my own in picture books but not computer savy enough to get them in my computer.
: : : : Darrell

: : : I'll send a few privately to you and anyone else who would like a few. Make sure your computer can open Zip files.

: : If you go looking in books or on the web for pics, be very careful of not violating copyright infringment laws. Most websites, as well as book publishers own the pics that are posted or printed there, so you will need permission to use them for public presentation. I have my own collection that I have taken over many year, and borrow others only with their permission.

: Thanks Patty, hadn't thought of that.

OBTW, I just got a copy of Dr Pollitt's hoof book, and it is full of really gross examples of hoof pathologies. There is an address in on the copyright page where you can contact them to ask permision to use parts of the book. (they do mean ASK, and I donl't know how free that are with their material but if it for a good cause I would expect they would OK it as long as you gave them proper credit in your presentation) . Maybe worth a shot to try I would think. Patty
