: 8/31/98 Dornoch Golding posted the easiest, cheapest and most effective way to deal with WLD.

: To repeat it here; debride the crumbly rubbish apply a paste made of copper sulphate and water. I pack the void with cotton and duct tape it on . The Copper Sulphate/water mixture will leach into the surrounding horn and obliterate any lurking fungus.

: I've been doing this for 20 years; never fails.

: If the infection is extensive and the resection large the area can be rebuilt after a day or two, you don't even have to leave the top of the resection open as the copper has killed any remaining fungus by then.
