: I have been working on a horse with severe white line desase for about a year.At first I had a basket case, hoof walls busted off 1/2 up the hoof no possible way to nail a shoe on. In one year we have gotten shoes to stay on and minamal fungus showing at the sole of the hoof. The horse seams to have devloped "elf shoes" ( the convex typed angle typical of foundered ponys) even though the hoof is cut to the blood line on every shoeing.I realize white line desease weekens the wall but I have never ran accross this before. Is this typical of really bad white line cases? Thanks

Get raidographs first, then start reducing the the toe and heels back to normal.

Should be able to do this in one or two tirms.
